John P. Arenas, Chief Executive Officer
As the founder of Worktopia, John Arenas leads the company as a proven executive and successful entrepreneur, with more than 25 years of experience developing and managing enterprises serving the corporate demand for meeting space and instant office space. Prior to starting Worktopia, John founded Stratis Business Centers, where he acted as CEO. Upon successful growth, Stratis was acquired by Regus, plc (RGU: London Stock Exchange), where John went on to act as President and General Manager of the Americas. He holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University and a Masters degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. John is co-chair of the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association’s (HEDNA’s) Group Online Committee John serves as a Trustee of the Jay Heritage Center, a non-profit historic preservation and educational center in Rye, N.Y.

Brian McCabe, Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Brian McCabe brings to Worktopia extensive hospitality industry experience in sales, marketing, operations and development. Born in the U.K., Brian began his hotel career in the kitchens of the Savoy Hotel Group in London. He graduated from Hotel School in London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality. Prior to joining Worktopia in 2005, Brian helped the Regus Group create a new business, Business Meeting Places, which converted meeting space within Regus-operated buildings into a global network of 4,000 meeting facilities in 65 countries, with over $50 million in sales. After ten-years with Grand Metropolitan Hotels, Brian joined Millennium and Copthorne Hotels as senior vice president of sales and marketing in London in 2001. Additionally, in 1990, after launching Blake McCabe Associates in London, which specialized in feasibility studies for new hotel development.

Joan Rothman, Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer, Joan Rothman leads all of Worktopia’s inbound and outbound marketing initiatives and corporate communications. She brings to the company both expertise in vertical and general markets, and marketing experience with both Fortune 100 and smaller companies. Before joining Worktopia, Joan was Vice President of Marketing at AuthentiDate Holding Corp., a security software and services company. There she led the rebranding of the company's new products and services suite, drove product development and market testing of several innovative workflow solutions, and directed the deployment of all market outreach programs. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Global Solutions Marketing at IBM, where she led global planning and marketing execution for IBM's top strategic alliances. Before IBM, Joan served as Senior Vice President at Dun & Bradstreet, where she was a key member of the CEO's globalization team and was responsible for all marketing efforts surrounding the launch of many key products and services. Joan received a BS in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J. and an MBA from Baruch College in New York. Joan has one son in college, enjoys travel, the arts and outdoor sports. She is active in her local community and supports the Westchester chapter of the American Red Cross.

Peter McElynn, Vice President Corporate Market Development
As Vice President of Corporate Market Development, Peter McElynn heads Worktopia’s corporate channel marketing team, promoting the company’s programs that provide corporations with real-time procurement, measurement and management of simple meetings. Peter began his travel industry career at United Airlines. He later moved to BPF Travel as Director of Sales, until it was acquired by American Express in 1985. He spent the next 15 years in sales management and executive positions with American Express’s Corporate Services division, acquiring, expanding and retaining large market and strategic corporate accounts. Additionally, Peter served as VP-Business Development for Saturn Reservations Systems (now GT3), Vice President of Business Development for WorldTravel-BTI (now BCD Travel) and SVP of Sales & Market Development for Galileo International (now part of Travelport), the world leader in electronic global distribution services/information technology for the travel industry.
